3. Upgrade SCM to latest version

Before upgrading to the latest version of SCM, the server administrator must ensure that there is no process currently in progress or waiting in any of the SCM queues.

This is essential to avoid any data loss or incorrect compliance data being reflected in some of the products which had active processes running in the queue during the upgrade. Hence, it is recommended that the server administrator notify all users to avoid using SCM during the scheduled upgrade, verify the SCM queues are free and then start the upgrade process.

3.1 Verify SCM queues

  1. In the browser of the server machine, browse to https://localhost:15673
  2. Fetch the log in credentials from the User and Password key values in the file "%ProgramData%\National Instruments\Skyline\SkylineConfigurations\skyline_localhost.json"
  3. Use the credentials to log in to the RabbitMQ dashboard.
  4. Navigate to the Queues tab and filter the queues using the _queue keyword.
  5. In the Messages and Message rates sections, verify if all cell values remain stable at 0 for at least three refresh cycles.
